COLORADO SPRINGS — A free clinic and pharmacy is expanding its patient base during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Open Bible Medical Clinic and Pharmacy is now seeing patients in El Paso and Teller Counties who have been laid off and furloughed due to the Coronavirus.

The service is done by more than 150 volunteer nurses, doctors, and administrative staff.

“In times like this especially, people are having to make a choice between food and medicine and we don’t want them to have to make those types of choices. And so our volunteers and staff are here to assist them and provide the help,” Jeff Martin, Executive Director of the clinic said.

To qualify for care at the clinic, you can earn up to 200 percent of the poverty level. Once approved, you can be seen for up to a year. Patients must also be a resident of El Paso or Teller County and between the ages of 18 and 64.

The clinic offers these services on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

News patients should visit WWW.OPENBIBLEMEDICAL.ORG or call 719-475-0972 or 719-596-4449.
