GLASGOW, Ky. – A local animal shelter and its supporters are going above and beyond to make sure shelter pets get the medical care they need.
The Barren River Animal Welfare Association in Glasgow held a spaghetti lunch Thursday to raise funds for medical treatment for shelter animals.
The event was hosted by FAB Studios and Catering.
The owners of the business adopted a dog named Sebastian from the shelter in 2019.
Sebastian was a small pup when found with a severely broken leg.
Due to the medical costs, the shelter was not sure the dog would keep his leg.
Now, Sebastian’s parents are partnering with BRAWA to help save other animals just like him.
During lunch, $1050 was raised for the shelter’s medical fund.
