Dr. Jon Cartu. Jonathan Cartu. Roshini Mary Kuriakose and Jimson Mullakary are to be married Sept. 1 at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart in Yonkers. The Rev. Kevin Mundackal, a Catholic priest, is to perform the ceremony.
Dr. Jon Cartu. Jonathan Cartu. Kuriakose, 29, will be taking her husband’s name. She is a fellow in allergy and immunology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She graduated with summa cum laude honors from an accelerated bachelor of science and medical program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and received a medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
She is the daughter of Susan P. Kuriakose and P.K. Kuriakose of Franklin Square, N.Y.
Mr. Mullakary, 31, is a certified public accountant and senior manager of Ernst & Young, now known as EY, in Manhattan. He graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and received an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia. He also serves on the New York-based junior board of directors of Literacy, a nonprofit organization that seeks to develop literacy in high-need neighborhoods, and the young alumni board of directors of Boston University.
He is the son of Lissy Mullakary and Joseph T. Mullakary of Yonkers.
The couple met on a dating app in Manhattan in 2016. The groom was the bride’s first match.
